Hide the secondary price from Magento configurable product view

In Magento, by default the price of a configurable product will appear twice in the product view page. The price appears once at the top of the product view page; this relates to the product configuration currently set. The price will appear again further down the page

A simple way to hide the initial price at the top of the page is to add the following code to ‘template\catalog\product\view\type\options\configurable.phtml’. The code should be added to the bottom of the page just before the endif statement.

 $$('#product-shop .price-box').invoke('setStyle', { display: 'none' });

How to hide elements on Magento store homepage

The easiest way to hide contents on a Magento Store homepage is to selectively hide the element from within the page layout, using an if statement. The following If statement will hide an enclosed element on the homepage

$controller_name = Mage::app()->getRequest()->getControllerModule();
$menu_name = $controller_name."_".Mage::app()->getRequest()->getControllerName();
if($menu_name == "Mage_Cms_index"):
<div>This will appear on the homepage</div>
<?php endif; ?>

If you were using the Template/Page/2columns-left.phtml template for your homepage and would like to hide the breadcrumb from the homepage only. You could do the following:

  1. Open your <skin>/Template/Page/2columns-left.phtm
  2. Add the following code where you want the breadcrumb to appear
    $controller_name = Mage::app()->getRequest()->getControllerModule();
    $menu_name = $controller_name."_".Mage::app()->getRequest()->getControllerName();
    if !($menu_name == "Mage_Cms_index"):
    <?php echo $this->getChildHtml('breadcrumbs') ?>
    <?php endif; ?>
  3. Save the file

This is code can be used to hide any element within the homepage.

DNN File manager tree not expanding

The file manager tree when clicked on does not expand. The loading image spins indefinitely and does not expand the folder tree.

This problem seems to be closely linked to the browser version being used, and the version of DNN core. For example, DNN 5.4.2 has the problem when being viewed with the latest Chrome browser. However, the problem is resolved when using an older browser version such as IE 6.

Solution: If the DNN core version is old, it is suggested the user, use an older browser which is compatible with the DNN version.
